A Wreath of Bookish Presents-What I Got for Christmas 2018

Merry Belated Christmas and Happy Almost New Year! The holidays just zoomed by this year. Actually, 2018 in general did.

Today, I’ll be showing y’all some of the things I got for Christmas. Of course, I am not at all trying to brag. I simply love reading these and they’re pretty fun to make.

I don’t like the word ‘haul’, so last year I coined the term ‘wreath’. It’s my collective noun for a group of presents.

Please excuse the…interesting photo quality. It shall be remedied soon. 😉

Well, here it is! My wreath of bookish presents.

Countdown To The Last Jedi-Great Star Wars Quotes and How To Use Them In Everyday Life

The countdown continues……

I’m really excited for today’s post! I will be sharing some awesome quotes from star Wars and telling you what they mean, how  to use them, and how to live by them.

1. Do. Or Do Not. There Is No Try. -Yoda

Yoda says this  to Luke during his Jedi Training. What this is saying is to put your best effort and go 100% for everything. Don’t just try it, excel. (This is starting to sound like a shoe commercial) So to quote Nike,

Just do it

-Nike

You can easily use this one in every day life. For example, if some one on your sports team is not putting in enough effort, tell them this quote to inspire them to not just try, but to do.

As a book worm, you can use this when you want to red x amount of books in a year. Don’t try to read 100 books, do read 100 books.

2. Chewie, We’re Home-Han Solo

Image result for chewie we're home

In The Force Awakens, Han says this when he and Chewie get back to the Millenium Falcon. This line is so good. Basically, what it’s talking about is the feeling of going home for the long time in a while. If you were on vacation, you might start to miss home. This is how you feel when you get home again.

You use this when you walk through the front doors to your house in any situation. Back from school? Grocery store? Library? Use it. As a bookworm, use it when you re-read your favorite series.

3. May The Force Be With You-Traditional Jedi Saying

This is said many times throughout the movie saga, and it’s a great quote. It’s like saying “Good luck”, but it sounds a lot cooler! You use this quote whenever your friend is leaving the room. Call out “May The Force Be With You!” As a bookworm, you can use this when you’re friends are going to the library and hoping to find good books. As a blogger, use it at the end of a blog post. Like me!

Countdown to The Last Jedi-Star Wars Royals Guest Post

Hi guys! So, we had to rework the schedule a little bit, so the updated one is at the end of this post. Today, we’re having Alverdine guest post, and Charis will be on Monday. Shr will be talking about Star Wars royals.

Alverdine will take over from here!

Ok. I know that in my welcome post, which you can view here, I made it very clear that I would only be talking about real royals. But, sometimes you have to bend the rules a little. Of course, Star Wars The Last Jedi is coming out very soon, so I have put together a post about two of the most well know royals in Star Wars, Padme and Leia, and some less commonly known Star Wars royals.

Padme Amidala, played by Natalie Portman, was elected Queen of Naboo when she was just fourteen years old. To compare her to a real monarch, Queen Elizabeth II became the Queen of England when she was twenty five years old, which is a very young age. Unlike the real life monarchs that you can read about on this blog, Padme was only Queen for a few years, and then becomes a senator for Naboo. She succeeded by Queen Jamillia, who is not her daughter, nor do they have any relation.

Another of Naboo’s young queens is Queen Apailana, who became Queen at just twelve years old, even young than Padme. She is present at Padme Amidala’s funeral as well.

Now, of course, we must talk about Princess Leia, played by the late Carrie Fisher. Princess Leia is not one of the royals from Naboo, even though her mom was. She is actually the Princess of Alderaan, that is, of course, until it gets blown up. I don’t exactly know what happens to your royal title when you kingdom gets blown to dust. But besides that, Princess Leia also has a twin her brother, Luke Skywalker.

I hope you enjoyed this article about Star Wars royals!
