A Wreath of Bookish Presents-What I Got for Christmas 2018

Merry Belated Christmas and Happy Almost New Year! The holidays just zoomed by this year. Actually, 2018 in general did.

Today, I’ll be showing y’all some of the things I got for Christmas. Of course, I am not at all trying to brag. I simply love reading these and they’re pretty fun to make.

I don’t like the word ‘haul’, so last year I coined the term ‘wreath’. It’s my collective noun for a group of presents.

Please excuse the…interesting photo quality. It shall be remedied soon. 😉

Well, here it is! My wreath of bookish presents.

Hide and Seek Blog Tour

Today’s post is really special. Today’s post is part of the blog tour for Hide and Seek, a book written by one of my dear blogging friends, Mya. I’m really excited.

About the Book:

Synopsis

Amara Clark is haunted. When her childhood friend, Asher, vanished during a seemingly ordinary game of hide and seek, she was left bewildered and alone.

Now, eight years later, memories of Asher are coming back to haunt her and she struggles to decipher the meaning of his disappearance. In a terrifying sequence of events, she comes to the deadly realization that a simple game of hide and seek can be much more dangerous than one might think.

Before they know it, Amara and her best friend, Rowan, are whisked away on a journey to find Asher and take down the sinister group that is holding him captive. But time is running out, and saving one friend could mean losing another.

Books I Hope to Read Before the End of 2018

Can you believe that we’re nearing the end of 2018? I can still remember New Year’s Eve, 2017! There are still so many books I’d like to read, though. I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish them all before the end of the year, but I hope to finish most of them.

Let’s get started!

Note: These are in no particular order

Bookworms disagree on all sorts of things, whether it be book ratings or bookmarks vs dog ears. But, there is one thing we all agree on. And that is the fact that being a bookworm comes with many struggles.

I’m very excited to post this because this a collab with the amazing Olivia from Purely Olivia. She is fantastic, always writing great posts or leaving sweet comments. She usually posts about books, but she also does some lifestyle posts.

When I asked her about collabing, she immediately agreed and put forth the idea that we write about bookworm struggles. It was perfect! We will each be sharing 5 struggles in order to show you ten that all bookworms have.

Let’s get into it!

In Which You Learn All About My Reads For the First Half of 2018

Copy of Add heading

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday and Happy July! Today, as the (Very long) title implies, I’m going to be talking about my reads for the first half of the year. I probably should have posted this in June like everyone else, but better late than never, right?

I’ll be sharing my favorites, least favorites, books I want to read, and everything in between! I’ll be doing this with the help of the dramatically titled Mid-Year Book Freakout Tag.

I’ve seen bloggers like Kerys and Olivia do it and I thought that it would be fun. So, let’s get into it.

My Top 4 Favorite Books (#2)

Hi guys! Welcome back! Thank you guys so much for all of your support on my blogiversary post. It means a lot that you all continue to read my blog! You guys really are (Winged) Wonders.

Some of my long time readers might know that my first post was my Top 4 Favorite Books. I posted that today in 2017. I thought that it would be fun to make this kind of a tradition. So, every year on June 26, you’ll see 4 more of my favorite books. 🙂

Just a note, these are in no particular order. I can not pick favorites out of my favorites. No. I just can’t! Okay, now we can proceed to the first book:

Why I Don’t Have Favorite Authors

Add heading (3).png

The following announcement may come as quite the shock. Are you ready for it?*

I do not have any favorite authors.

*Cue gasp* “But Rose, you’re a bookworm and a book blogger and you’re telling me that you don’t have any favorite authors?”

Yes, dear Winged Wonder, that is exactly what I’m telling you. I know, I know, it’s very strange. I’ve seen many a blogger rave about “this author this” and “that author that”. But the truth is that I can’t relate.

Chats With Wings-May 2018

Chats With Wings

Is it just me, or did May seem to stretch on for a very long time? When I think about it, I can’t believe that it was only one month.

It is now time for the official Chats With Wings. I am on time this month! *Cue cheering*

Anyway, let’s get started!

Chats With Wings-April 2018

Chats With Wings

Yes, that is the proper title. I am doing last month’s forgotten Chats With Wings mere days before I need to work on my May Chat. This is going to be a rather shortened chat because not all of the categories will be found. For example, I will not have any May goals because, well, May is over in three days. 🙂

Let’s recap April!
