I hope you all had a great holiday season! I know that I did. Before I start with the New Year’s posts (Not possible), I thought that it would be fun to share some of the bookish items that I got for Christmas. I called this post “A Wreath of Presents” because that is the collective noun that I created for a group of presents.
I do not mean at all to make you feel bad by this post. I just wanted to share what I got because I like these types of posts. I’m really grateful for everything that I got from my family, friends, and Santa.
So let’s get started!
A Fun Bookish Shirt
This shirt basically represents my life. It says “The book is better” with a little book graphic. This a nod to the undeniable truth that books are always better than their movie versions-and that movie studios ruin the books.
This one of my favorite shirts.
Harry Potter Earrings
A huge thanks to my Aunt and Uncle for giving me these. There are two sets. The first are lightning bolts and the second are little deathly hallows. They are really tiny and I love them.
Harry Potter-A Journey Through A History of Magic
My Aunt and Uncle also got me this book. It’s a guide that shows you the history of things in the magic world, who the characters were based on, drawings by J.K Rowling (!!!!), and some deleted parts. It’s really cool.
The Magic Words
This is a writing guide for writing children’s books. It’s one of the few specific to writing children’s books. I’m really glad that I have it. I can’t wait to read it! Thanks to my grandparents for this amazing book.
Life In Motion
This book is the autobiography of Misty Copeland. I love reading autobiographies, so I’m happy to add this to my collection of them. I do not take dance, but I like to watch it, and it’s really cool to learn about. Thanks to my parents for this!
The Keepers of the Lost Cities Series
This series is ridiculously hyped in the blogosphere. So, I bought the first book a few months ago and became obsessed. Unfortunately, the books are always checked out of the library. I asked for them from my parents and grandparents and underneath the Christmas tree, there they were. This is one of my favorite things that I got.
I saved the best for last. I received a camera from Santa and I’m really happy. I took the photos until now on my phone, and they turned out nicely. But, now that I have a camera, they will be even better.
The camera is so tiny and perfect and I’m super excited to see the quality improve with my indoor photography.
So, I guess that this is my last post of the holidays. 😦
I’ll see you all tomorrow for my 2017 wrap up (I’m not sure how it’s time though….)
What was your top present from the holidays? Do you like Harry Potter?
